Letter from Prince Albert to [the Duchess of Gloucester]

Prince Albert expresses his gratitude for the letter and states that he has given the enclosure to Bertie. He refers to a melancholy visit to the priory and writes that Aunt Adelaide [The Queen Dowager] seemed 'weak and oppressed'. Prince Albert also mentions that Vicky and Alfred had to be left behind due to having the chicken pox.
