A collection of miscellaneous files created by Prince Albert (1819-61) covering the period of 1840-1860.

Included are a number of files created by Prince Albert relating to a variety of topics, such as Coastal Defences, the Abolition of Duelling and the Precedence of the Duke of Cambridge. In addition to these files is a volume containing manuscript copies of many of Prince Albert’s public speeches, including those given at a meeting of the Society for the Abolition of Slavery, the Royal Literary Fund, the Servant’s Benevolent Society and the Royal Agricultural Society, among others.
