Prince Albert refers to his and Queen Victoria's gratitude to Miss [Florence] Nightingale for her services to soldiers in the East. He mentions a public tribute and explains that they cannot subscribe to public memorials for persons of their time. He mentions two exceptions including the Duke of Wellington and Sir Robert Peel. Prince Albert also discusses a system of 'nursing sisters'.
