17 Feb 1847

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (5 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/Z/488/11

Prince Albert writes that Count Mensdorff may not be received in the best way but that he does not mind as he knows he is doing good. Prince Albert expresses his admiration for the King [of Portugal] and refers to a prisoner being sent to Africa. He also writes that [Henry] Southern is like a 'Spanish Demagogue' and mentions that Don Miguel is here and is trying to convince Lord Palmerston of his 'liberal principles'.
