Letter from Lord John Russell to Queen Victoria reporting that the Kennington Common meeting had been a 'complete failure'. He also provides details of the dispersal of the meeting and reports of further disturbances elsewhere in the country. Russell also notes that upon seeing the way in which the meeting was dealt with quietly, that Great Britain would be raised in the estimation of other countries.
