Letter from the Prince Consort to Lord John Russell regarding the Prince Regent of Prussia's interview with the Emperor of Austria. He states that the Emperor is anxious that Prussia and Germany should act in common 'in the case of a common danger', such as a possible attack by France against him in Italy. He also states that on internal policy the Emperor is planning to proceed with reforms, which he hopes will gain the sympathy of Germany.
