Letter from Sir Charles Wood to Prince Albert in reply to proposed changes to the pensions and retired allowances. Agrees with Prince Albert's suggestion for uniformity in departments and reports that the Act of Parliament regarding the Civil Service is not applicable to Queen Victoria's Household. Also includes his own proposals.
