Letter from Sir Benjamin Hall to Dr. Meyer regarding his views of the Kennington Common meeting and describing its perceived failure as 'one of the most glorious days of English History'. He writes of his fear that foreigners from Paris may taken the opportunity to create a disturbance and writes that he believes this would have happened had the procession been allowed to take place. Sir Benjamin also praises Sir George Grey's conduct and describes some of the speeches given by the Chartists.
