Letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell enclosing a dispatch from Colonel Duplat and letters from Lord Cowley (not present). He writes that the state of Germany is now in the hands of the Emperor of Russia, the result he feared after the signing of the London Protocol. Prince Albert also mentions that he has received news that his uncle, Prince Ferdinand, has suffered a stroke and still lies in great danger.
