Prince Albert writes that they are now doing in conjunction with France and Spain what they might have done alone. He mentions some instructions given to Colonel Wylde and expresses his hope that the court will accept their offer. Prince Albert also refers to the difficult situation regarding Mr Dietz and instructs Sir Hamilton Seymour to assist in avoiding wounding the Queen's feelings.
