Letter from George Anson to the Bishop of Oxford

George Anson expresses his opinion on the Bishop of Oxford's proposed letter of defence. George Anson writes that it would only 'give new vigor to a dying controversy' and that everybody is fed up with the subject. He states that most of the clergy are keen for peace and that he would be credited for having put an end to the affair. He also refers to a Dr M ?Hole. Copy.
