Copy of a memorandum written by Prince Albert on the abolition of the Lord Lieutenancy of Ireland. He writes of the sovereign's inability to dispose of means voted to her by Parliament. He also mentions the possibility of other claims being put forward stronger than that for the abolition of the office of the Master of Buckhounds and the danger of political jobbing.
