Prince Albert on the causes leading to the 'evils' of the first year's campaign of the Crimean war, in part due to the 'unprepared state'. He includes reference to Lord Hardinge's preference for the preparation of a plan by his staff, the proposals for the permanent formation of Divisions and Brigades as complete units and suggestions as to depot organisation. Includes handwritten notes.
