Letter from Viscount Palmerston to Queen Victoria forwarding Lord John Russell's letter (not present) regarding efforts to dissuade [Giuseppe] Garabaldi from attending to create disturbances in the Austrian territory. He also reports on the lengths Cabinet have taken to consider the reform motion announced by private members and provides names of those who voted for or against. He also mentions that he had received Bills on bankruptcy and insolvency, the registering of births, deaths and marriages in Ireland, the management of market stalls in Ireland and the enlargement of Chatham dockyard.
