Sir Robert Peel writes of the difficulty of conducting public affairs in the new House of Commons and refers to 'factions motives'. He states that he hopes this is the end of the newspaper controversy regarding the appointment of the Bishop of Hereford. He also mentions that he is not surprised about the Dean of Hereford's exposure.
