Sir George Grey mentions that he has seen the Bishop of Llandaff who has declined 'to concur in the Episcopal remonstrance' but is concerned about Dr Hampden's appointment. Sir George Grey also mentions that Monteagle has informed him that Professor Smythe is on his deathbed and that care needs to be taken finding a successor. Copy.
