Professor Sedgwick outlines the contents of the letter that he sent to Lord John Russell regarding his concerns about being nominated as a member of the Royal commission. He states that if Prince Albert still desires his nomination despite these concerns, he will write to Lord John Russell to withdraw his previous letter and accept the nomination.
