Prince Albert refers to a report by Captain Elphinstone regarding operations at Coblence [Koblenz]. He writes that he is glad that the report is being made use of through lectures at Chatham. Prince Albert also refers to the opinion of Sir Howard Douglas relating to the destruction of the caponiers by ricochet fire.
