Letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell reporting that the Queen approves of Lord Carew's nomination to the vacant Ribbon of St. Patrick however, he also asks that Russell write to Lord Clarendon on the subject of the Prince of Wales's investment into the Order of St. Patrick, as it is possible that a vacancy does not exist. Prince Albert also mentions the approval of Lord Lismore for the Lieutenancy of Tipperary, his request to the Bishop of London to offer a prayer at the closing of the Great Exhibition of 1851 and of the death of Lord Liverpool.
