Letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell reporting that Lord Palmerston had spoken with the Queen the previous day with respect to the Florence Mission, and that she had declined sanctioning the removal of Lord Cowley to that post. Prince Albert also mentions that the reward of different men connected to the Great Exhibition will be a 'subject of the greatest difficulty' and that he will have a list prepared for Russell's consideration.
