Prince Albert refers to the resignation of Mr Eastlake from the office of Keeper of the National Gallery. He discusses possible successors including Mr Uwins and Mr Cook but states that he believes Mr Leslie is unfit for the position. He also encloses two letters on Swiss affairs (not present).
