Letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell

Prince Albert returns the petition and papers (not present) stating that he can see no reason to reopen the investigation and that the officers have done their duty honorably. He mentions that Queen Victoria sanctions Lord John Russell's proposal for Mr Tufton to receive a Baronetcy. Finally, Prince Albert states that the [Duke] of Cambridge has withdrawn his protest.
