Prince Albert forwards a letter (not present) from Sir James Stephen addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge to be circulated amongst the Heads of Houses. He also refers to the Emperor Henry III 'standing in his shirt under the window of Pope Gregory at Canossa'.
