Letter from Lord John Russell to Queen Victoria reporting the resignation of the Duke of Newcastle was brought under the consideration of the Cabinet. He also writes that the Cabinet would be considering the question of extension of suffrage the following day but that a final decision could not be made until Sir James Graham provides an answer.
