Letter from Lord John Russell to Queen Victoria acknowledging her previous letter. He states that he agrees with the Queen's advice to not set a date for the second reading however, and explains that it would be difficult for the House of Commons not to have a precise date. Russell also writes that he will do all he can to keep the cabinet united.
