22 Nov 1853

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (2 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/F/10/43

Letter from Lord Aberdeen to Queen Victoria reporting that the Cabinet that day was considering measures of the proposed Parliamentary Reform. He states that it had been received favourably with some reservations regarding particular portions which may cause differences of opinion in future. In his own opinion, Aberdeen wishes that the franchise had been extended further and the measures were more liberal.
