14 Jun 1850Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/C/59/43
Letter from Henry Wood to Prince Albert, on behalf of the Committee of the Tailor's Guild, in which he mentions that Henry Mayhew, a correspondent for The Morning Chronicle, had previously requested an interview with Prince Albert, however this was deemed to be unnecessary until the Guild has 'assumed a sufficiently definitive form'. He reports that they now have reached that point and request Prince Albert's sanction and reports on the progress of the institution, also enclosing a copy of their prospectus (see VIC/MAIN/C/59/44).
