General Wetherall on the submission of pattern helmets to replace shakos for the Light Cavalry. He refers to the modification of shakos and busbies for the Hussars, and the comparative cost of felt, leather and brass helmets. Also included is a note of reply dated 21 November 1855 and an enclosed circular order regarding rifle instruction.
