Dr Philpott mentions Dr Bateson leaving the office of Vice-Chancellor and the expectation that Mr Neville, master of Magdalene College will take on the position. He also refers to the death of Mr Hardwick, the Christian Advocate in an accident in the Pyrenees and suggests converting his vacant role into a divinity professorship. Includes note dated 3 November.
