Dr Cookson encloses a petition to Prince Albert as Visitor of Clare Hall from Reverend Sheppard, Fellow of Clare Hall. It refers to Mr Fischer's right to retain a fellowship when he is a professor at St Andrews. He also encloses a printed copy of the judgement of the last appeal relating to Mr Fischer.
