Colonel Grey discusses the Royal commission for enquiry into the universities of Oxford and Cambridge and mentions a conversation between the Duke of Wellington and Prince Albert, the respective Chancellors of the universities. He writes of the intention of Sir John Russell to detail the measures in order to dispel the fears of the university authorities. Draft copy.
