Letter from Charles Hill, of the Steward's Department, to Colonel Charles Beaumont Phipps regarding recipients of the Queen's Annual Bounty. He reports an increase of warranted servants in 1844 and hence an increase of future recipients. Suggests saving of surplus funds to meet this and encloses a list recipients and details of amount granted (see VIC/MAIN/C/61/34).
