Letter from Benjamin Disraeli to Queen Victoria, informing her that an unexpected debate took place in the [Houses of Parliament] on the Ballot and that the best speech of the evening was one by G.W. Cobden. He reports that the vote was 144 in favour of the ballot and 246 against.
