Includes the Princess Royal writing about her ear pains and referring to a Mrs Simpson. She writes that they were in great danger but it has been averted for now and also mentions an article in the Times. She refers to the death of Ferdinand of Portugal and mentions Antoinette. Their servant Heppner also died this morning. She expresses her good wishes for Bertie's [Prince of Wales] birthday and writes that Uncle Ernest [Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha] now sees [Charles] Bollmann's character.
