Photograph of a full length group portrait of two Zulu men, one of which is a Chief, and a Zulu woman. On the left kneels a man waving a large palm leaf over the head of the centrally seated man, the Chief, who faces three-quarters left, holding a spear in his right hand. On the right stands a woman, also facing three-quarters left. A pot and a bowl stand on the ground on the right of the photograph.

The 1892 carbon copy print is adhered over the top of the original albumen print.
