Photograph of a full length portrait of a terrier named Dandie Dinmond, seated beside a wood panelled structure. The small, dark fur dog looks towards the camera. 

The dog belonged to Queen Victoria (1819-1901). The caption states the terrier is aged 18 years old at the time of the photograph. Dandie Dinmont featured in a number of paintings and decorative objects in the Royal Collection, including 'Windsor Castle in Modern Times' , c.1841-3, by Sir Edwin Landseer (RCIN 406903).
