Maroon leather-bound album with title and decorative lines in gilt. The album contains photographs (RCINs 2800824-2800870) of a variety of subject matter including portraits by Camille Silvy, HMS Euryalus in Funchal Bay, 1860, portraits of Miss Eliza Seymour as Fortitude and Lady Spencer as Faith (16 March 1861), portraits of the children of the Emperor of Austria and a potrait of Prince Alamayu, son of Tewodros II, Emperor of Abyssinia, with Captain Speedy. Many of the photographs were reproduced in carbon in 1883 by Hughes.

The first page is inscribed, 'All the Photographs in this Volume as far as Page10 were collected and arranged by His Royal Highness The Prince Consort 1860-61'.
