Red leather album containing 19 albumen photographs taken by Corporal J Mack during the coronation celebrations of Alexander II, Emperor of Russia. Mack was part of the British delegation led by Lord Granville. The photographs show buildings in Moscow and St Petersburg including the Winter Palace, the Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral. The album also includes photographs of sailors and servants on board HMS St Jean d'Acre, which transported Lord Granville and his suite to Russia, and groups of Russians of different ethnicities.
