Photograph of a drawing by Delaroche, created in 1844 in Rome. This half-length portrait of Alphonse de Lamartine (1790-1869) depicts the French writer facing a quarter to the left, his hands crossed below his chest. He wears a cravate and a jacket with broad collar.
