Photograph of a half-length portrait of George Gordon, 1st Marquis of Huntly (1562-1636). The sitter faces slightly to the left and looks at the viewer. He has long, curly hair and wears a suit of armour with a broad lace-trimmed collar. A shash hangs across his body from left shoulder to right hip.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of The Duke of Richmond, Gordon Castle, Banffshire.
