Photograph of a half-length portrait of Archibald Johnston, Lord Warriston (c.1610-1663). The sitter faces three-quarters to the right and looks at the viewer. He is depicted with long, wavy hair, a goattee and a moustache. He wears dark robes with a broad lace-trimmed collar and a skull cap.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Sir William Gibson-Craig, 2nd Baronet of Riccarton (1797–1878). It has been attributed to George Jamesone (c.1590-1644) and it is now in the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland (PG 2721).
