She writes that she does not know whether Countess Perponcher will stay till April and refers to the news of Sir James [Clark] being an 'invalid'. She also mentions Colonel Bruce and Bertie [Prince of Wales] and that she is reading 'Jane Eyre'. She writes that the unsatisfactory account of Affie [Prince Alfred] must be causing her father anxiety and also mentions Frederick William IV of Prussia's health.
