Letter from the Duke of Newcastle to Queen Victoria regarding the news that Hautsport would now be called Princetown, after the Prince of Wales. He also describes their journey to, and reception at Windsor, Truto, Picton, Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island. He reports that the Prince is due to land at Quebec and once received by a procession, and by the Mayor and Council, will proceed to Sir Edmund Head's house. The Duke also reports that the Prince is in 'excellent health' and is 'anxiously and carefully' carrying out his duties. He also encloses copies of addresses given by the Prince during this part of the tour (see VIC/MAIN/Z/466/77-79).
