Letter from the Duke of Newcastle to Queen Victoria enclosing a letter from Lord Lyons regarding the proposed visit (see VIC/MAIN/Z/466/22). He also reports that he has written to Sir Edmund Head naming the 25 August for the ceremony at Montreal and will write to the other Governors by the next mail.
