Prince Albert writes to Queen Victoria on New Year's Eve in response to a letter from her. He writes that he does not want her to think of herself as unworthy of him and says 'I would allow no one in the world to say such a thing; therefore I may not suffer it from you, for I cannot hear my dear good Victoria disparged.' He mentions that he is pleased to hear the the Coburg succession has been 'very much liked' in England and also mentions his dogs Nus and Eos.
