Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria, written in German on mourning paper. He writes that he has arrived safely in Gotha and has met with his brother and Grandmother. Albert also describes how his emotions overwhelm him [after the death of this father]. He writes 'Tomorrow I shall make the trying visit to the Palace. I shudder at the thought of it'.
