Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria, written in German on mourning paper. He writes of his arrival on board the ship, and a delayed crossing, for the start of his hie journey back to Germany [after the death of his father]. Albert also encourages her to 'Bear up!' and not let herself give way to feeling sad about their being apart. He also mentions the railroad and says that it 'is wonderful, especially the part of it between this and Folkestone'.
