Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria in which he writes to her before his travels in Switzerland and Italy

27 Aug 1837

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/Z/296/9

Prince Albert writes to Queen Victoria before leaving Bonn to travel to Switzerland and Italy. He acknowledges her previous letter in which she asks that he write to her throughout his journey and to collect souvenirs from each 'remarkable' place he visits. He writes 'Be assured, my dearest Cousin, that nothing could give me more pleasure, than the idea to be busy for you'.
