Letter from Lord John Russell to Prince Albert agreeing with the decision to unite the offices of Keeper of the Privy Purse with that of Treasurer to both Prince Albert and the Prince of Wales. He also suggests that Lord Spencer and Lord Fortescue may provide recommendations for the vacant offices and provides details for the christening [of his son Francis Albert Rollo Russell]. Lord Clarendon has reported that there is a general wish in Ireland that Prince Albert should be Chancellor of the new university.
