Draft letter from Prince Albert to Lord John Russell reporting on a resolution for filling the vacancies left after Anson's death. He states that Colonel Phipps would be made Keeper of the Privy Purse and Colonel Grey would become Private Secretary to the Prince, while also maintaining his position as Equerry to the Queen. Prince Albert requests Russell's recommendation for someone to fill the role of his equerry and mentions Colonel Romilly.
